The Bible is Real
Recently, I was watching a tv show based around the White House. One of the characters was running for President. He was getting hammered in the media because he wouldn’t commit to attending a church service.
He sat down to talk with the current President, and he told him he couldn’t go to church because he had given up on God. He read some stuff he didn’t like in the Bible, and he walked away from God altogether.
What did the out-going President answer? He said, “Ah, you can’t take the Bible literally.”
Uh, yes, you can. You must! The Bible is the literal word of God. It never changes. The Bible is still active and relevant today.
2 Timothy 3:16 tells us that the Bible is still of use to us today. It is our guidebook for life. It is God’s instructional manual for how to live.
What the Bible says is wrong REALLY IS WRONG. If the Bible says to avoid something, WE MUST AVOID IT. If the Bible tells us to live a certain way and do certain things, WE MUST OBEY. There is no highway option when it comes to God’s Word.
The world is trying to discredit the Word of God because it wants to justify its sinful ways. We must stand up for the truth of God’s Word and live out what it teaches us.
As men of God, we need to shine brighter than ever!
Memory Verse: All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work. (2 Timothy 3:16-17, NIV)
